3.17.4 Repeating Courses

Responsible Position

Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs

PROCEDURES

A student must successfully complete a course within three (3) attempts. The repeat grade will become the grade calculated for GPA purposes. All attempts will count for determining percentage of completion rate and maximum time frame.

In order to have a repeat processed on a student’s permanent academic record, the student must complete a Course Repeat Request within their MyATCC account. The Registrar’s Office will process the repeat request once the repeating course grade has been posted.

Repeating courses must be equal to, or greater than the repeated course. A Withdrawal (W) cannot replace an F grade.

Financial Aid Exemption: A student may only repeat a successfully passed course one (1) additional time for financial aid purposes.
