Meal Block Plans

Students and employees at Alexandria Technical and Community College have the flexibility to choose from two meal plan options that cater to different dining preferences:

Option 1: 80 meals for $880 ($11/meal)
This option is equivalent to approximately one meal per day for the entire semester. It provides flexibility for individuals who prefer a consistent dining schedule while allowing the freedom to purchase meals as needed.

Option 2: 160 meals for $1440 ($9/meal)
With this option, you'll have approximately two meals daily throughout the semester. It offers more meals for those who require more frequent dining options on campus, ensuring you stay fueled throughout your academic or workday.

Both meal plans allow students or employees to purchase any number of meals in a day, from zero to as many as they like, without being limited by a daily maximum.

A meal block is a pre-purchased package of meals that students can use at our campus Twizt’d Café located in the 300 wing on the main campus and at the Twizt’d Coffee Kiosk in the 700 building commons area. Meal blocks offer a convenient and cost-effective way for students to enjoy a variety of dining options without the need for cash or credit transactions each time they eat. Students purchase meal blocks at the beginning of the semester or academic year. This pre-payment helps students budget their food expenses.

Combo Meals and Daily Specials: Meal blocks are specifically designed to be used for combo meals and daily specials offered at campus dining locations. Combo meals typically include an entrée, a side, and a drink, while daily specials vary and provide unique meal options each day.

Flexibility: Meal blocks provide flexibility, allowing students to use their meals at their convenience without being tied to a fixed number of meals per week.

Convenience: Students can easily use their meal blocks by presenting their meal plan card or student ID at participating dining locations, making the dining process quick and hassle-free.

Cost Savings: Meal blocks often offer a discount compared to paying for each meal individually, providing cost savings for students.

Variety: By being valid for combo meals and daily specials, meal blocks ensure that students have access to a wide range of dining options, promoting a balanced and varied diet.

A college declining balance meal plan is a flexible option where students are allocated a specific amount of funds, known as Twizt'd Bucks. Twizt'd Bucks function like a gift card or debit card, with the balance decreasing with each purchase. These funds are loaded onto a student's account through Twizt'd Café and can be spent at both the 300 Wing main Café and the 700 Building Commons Twizt'd Coffee kiosk. This plan offers convenience and flexibility, allowing students to pay for only the individual items they choose, tailoring their dining experience to their preferences and needs.

A La Carte: Purchases are made a la carte, meaning students pay only for the individual items they choose, rather than a set meal, allowing for greater customization and flexibility in meal choices.

Flexibility and Convenience: Twizt'd Bucks provide flexibility in dining choices, simplifying transactions and enabling students to tailor their meals to their preferences and needs.

Budget Management: Students can manage their dining expenses by tracking their remaining Twizt'd Bucks balance, facilitating better budgeting throughout the semester.
