PROCEDURES

Alexandria Technical and Community College provides commencement as an option for students graduating with certificates, diplomas, and degrees.

In order for students to qualify for participation in the ceremony, they must have met all program requirements by the end of the upcoming summer semester, and be in good academic standing.

Students who complete their graduation requirements at the end of fall semester may participate in the commencement ceremony the following spring.

Participation in commencement exercises does not constitute actual graduation from the program. Students will be issued a ceremonial document at commencement. Actual degrees, diplomas, and certificates will be mailed within six (6) to eight (8) weeks after the completion of all graduation requirements.
