Alexandria Technical and Community College lost a Legend. Vernon R. Maack, 97, died Sunday, June 4, 2023. Vern Maack founded the Alexandria Area Vocational Technical School in 1961.

The college has concluded another successful academic year. Since 1961, Alexandria Technical and Community College (ATCC) has served students who are often unsure of their path coming in, but leave with skills, knowledge, improved self-reliance, and grit. To validate this growth, we recognize our graduates at commencement. No college event is more impactful than the annual commencement ceremony.

A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Friday, May 19 at 2:00 pm, just north of the Alexandria College campus (15th and Jefferson in Alexandria). The public is invited to attend and celebrate this milestone in the growth of the college and the community.
