Each year, the Alexandria Technical & Community College Foundation awards several Excellence in Innovation Grants to campus projects focused on student outreach, keeping pace with industry technology, and better serving Alexandria College students.

A memorial ceremony was held at Alexandria Technical and Community College for Pope County Deputy Josh Owen, a 2009 graduate of the college’s police training and education program, on October 25.

New Harvest Fellow and University of Vermont PhD researcher, Irfan Tahir will present this four-session program, which explores new ways we can use scientific techniques to create foods that traditionally come from animals, and the opportunities and challenges this presents for agriculture.
