PROCEDURES

Student-athletes at Alexandria Technical and Community College are NJCAA-eligible based on the rules and policies of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). NJCAA-eligible student-athletes are required to submit proof of an annual approved physical examination and carry health insurance that covers intercollegiate athletic participation.

Student-athletes who are not participating in a sport governed by the NJCAA may be exempt from needing a physical examination but will be required to carry health insurance that covers intercollegiate athletic participation.

All student-athletes, regardless of NJCAA-eligibility, must submit a waiver of liability form before engaging in any athletic-related activity (a practice or a game). Additionally, all students may become ineligible to participate in intercollegiate athletics as a result of student code of conduct, satisfactory academic progress, or other violations.
