Tom Weller

Professional Truck Driver Instructor

Tom Weller has logged over a half million miles in 6 years of driving a tractor-trailer. He got his start at a local company in Osakis, Minn., where he transported freight, mostly refrigerated food-grade products, and dry freight to and from distribution centers, warehouses, and processors. As a local driver, he covered Minnesota and the surrounding states, dropping and hooking up to 30 trailers per week. During summer break, Tom drives truck, hauling dry van and refrigerated freight, along with grain and fertilizer.

Tom graduated from the Professional Truck Driver program at Alexandria College, in fall 2017, where he received the Outstanding Student Award and was named on the Dean’s list. He became part of the program’s advisory committee and was added to the substitute teacher roster.

In his free time, Tom enjoys spending time with his family, his three dogs Angus, Pearl & Etta, grilling, riding motorcycles, shooting, NHRA, card collecting, and hosting game servers.
