The Patient Access Specialist program is a 26-credit certificate that prepares students to be skilled specialists who handle patient encounters, customer service, and additional areas related to the intake and processing of the patient's healthcare experience. Key coursework include customer service, patient check-in, admission, registration, revenue cycle and information systems, telephone communications, scheduling, coordinating, canceling appointments, and other pertinent topics.
Military bridge programs through Minnesota's Global Military Learning Network (MN-GMLN) provide opportunities for U.S. military service members who have trained in specific occupations to use their training as college credit toward specific degrees.
