Individualized Studies

The Individualized Studies Associate of Science (AS) degree is, in part, for students who intend to transfer to complete a Bachelor's degree. This 60-credit degree allows learners to develop a specific education plan. A personalized degree gives students the opportunity to focus on specialized career interests not offered in the college's structured degree programs, to combine and integrate a number of subjects into a degree program. Students work collaboratively with an advisor to create a degree plan that meets their individualized educational needs. Those who are working will appreciate the online and on campus options.

Students who enroll in the Individualized Studies program will complete a minimum of 30 general education credits (in at least six goal areas of the MnTC. Students planning to transfer into a Bachelor’s degree program are encouraged to complete the MnTC (40 credits and all ten goal areas) as part of their degree requirements, making the transfer process more seamless.
