The accounting field is very broad in the variety of jobs available. A graduate can seek employment in private industry, public accounting, government accounting, cost accounting, finance, or tax. The American Institute of Public Accountants stated, "Accounting opens doors in every kind of business coast to coast."
Smaller outstate employers operate lean and require their accountants to perform many different functions and roles. The ATCC Accounting program is designed to develop the work ready skills necessary to meet an employer's needs from day one. Students receive over 200 hours of training in payroll, spreadsheets, database, and tax software.
