Police Training & Education Skills Application

Welcome to the Alexandria Technical & Community College Summer Skills program application process. Each step has a "complete by" date associated with it. You may complete the steps to admission as quickly as you like, as long as the prior steps have been completed. If you have any questions about the admissions process, please email go@alextech.edu.

STEP 1:

Register for a Minnesota State StarID if you do not already have one. If you attend an institution that is a member of Minnesota State, you already have a StarID and can skip this step. Learn more about your StarID or reset your password at StarID Self Service.

STEP 2:

COMPLETE BY DECEMBER 15

1. Submit all official college transcripts to transfer@alextech.edu.

2. Complete all online forms below, beginning with the Skills Application. NOTE: It is critical to provide a valid email on your application that you check regularly. Communications from the ATCC Admissions team will be sent via email.

Note: The form links below will turn RED once you have accessed the form (requires caching to be enabled).

Once your application, transcripts, and all online forms above are received and processed, you will receive an email confirmation. You can expect an email within 5 business days of completion.

STEP 3:

COMPLETE BY FEBRUARY 1

1. Pay $415 registration security deposit (includes background check fee). This will hold your spot and will be applied to program tuition. Check or money order made out to ATCC can be sent via mail, or call the Business Office at 320-762-4530 to pay with a credit or debit card. Please reference that this is the security deposit for PTE Skills.

2. Print the following forms and complete as directed. Note: Physicians Evaluation Form requires doctor's signature, and Background Check requires a notary. Both original completed forms must be mailed to:

Photocopies and faxes will not be accepted. If you choose to mail your $415 deposit, it can be mailed with these original completed forms.

Once you have been notified via email that you have been accepted into the Skills program, you can order your uniforms and secure your housing.

Housing

ATCC Student Housing

Housing is available on campus from May 20 to July 12, 2024. All units are fully furnished and include wifi and private bedrooms.

  • 4 BR Unit: Two $600 payments, per person
  • 2 BR Unit: Two $700 payments, per person (limited availability)
