Post Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO)
PSEO (Post Secondary Enrollment Options) is a program developed by the Minnesota Legislature to promote "rigorous academic pursuits" and to provide a broader range of course options to high school students. High school students are able to enroll full or part-time in college courses or programs. Tuition and course required textbooks are at no cost to PSEO students.
How to Start
- Start planning early.
Preferential Application Deadlines
- June 15 for fall semester starts
- December 15 for spring semester starts
- Meet with a high school counselor to discuss what PSEO course work will meet graduation requirements and career goals. If you have any questions while visiting with your high school, please feel free to give the college a call at 320-762-4487 or 888-234-1222, ext. 4487.
- Complete the following PSEO application forms:
- Return the completed application forms along with a copy of your high school/home school transcript to:

- Once the application forms and transcript are received, you will be sent a letter to schedule an appointment with Alexandria Technical & Community College. During this appointment you may complete a placement test. The test results, along with your high school transcript and your career goals, are used to determine your acceptance to the PSEO program.
